We don’t know her name, but she’s 37 years old, and she’s already resigned.

She put hand sanitizer on their hands and lit them on fire as part of a science experiment.  She did it with multiple kids in several classes throughout the day.

Unfortunately, one 12-year-old boy ended up getting burned on both hands badly enough that he had to go to the hospital.  It’s not clear how bad it was, but doing that with hand sanitizer can POTENTIALLY cause third-degree burns.

The school says the teacher resigned and is “no longer an employee of the school district.”  It’s not clear if she could also face charges, but police are looking into it.
