Two Twins Were Born 15 Minutes Apart Last Week, but in Different Years

A woman in central California named Fatima Madrigal gave birth to twins over the weekend, about 15 minutes apart . . . but in different YEARS.

Her son Alfredo was born at 11:45 P.M. on Friday.  Then his sister Aylin was born at exactly midnight, just seconds into 2022.  The hospital posted a photo of them online, and they’re doing great.  (Here’s the photo.  How much you wanna bet the doctor was like, “Hey, just stop pushing for 30 seconds and you’ll make the news.”)

We’ve seen this happen before, but the odds are still pretty crazy . . . around a one-in-two million chance of delivering twins in different years.  (There was even a set of twins near Boston born in different millenniums.  One in 2000, and one in 2001.)
