Let’s face it, dating in Shreveport is not easy.

Just a few days ago, we shared a story listing the top-10 cities in America for singles. Shreveport was nowhere near that list. In writing that piece, it struck me that we simply have quite a lot of red flags to be on the lookout for here in Shreveport-Bossier.

So to help the community, I wanted to share some red flag statements to steer clear from. Simply put, if you’re talking with someone who says any of the following things, get the heck away as quickly as possible.

Here are my top red flag statements for Shreveport-Bossier!

1. I have an “Add Me on Instagram” sticker on my vehicle.
2. That bronze building on the side of I-20 looks so cool.
3. I’m in the top 10% on OF.
4. I’ve never once tried Southern Classic
5. I’m from Haughton.
6. Trust me, I’m an influencer on TikTok.
7. Superior Margaritas are just too strong.
8. Meet me at Ichiban on Youree Drive.
9. Our Mardi Gras parades should end before the Duck Pond.
10. I really don’t like the taste of crawfish.
